Resources
We will use this space to share information and resources about Making it Happen and about ABCD.
ABCD Organisations and Resources
The Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) Institute based at DePaul University in the United States provides information and resources about the ABCD approach.
The ABCD Institute has pulled together a toolkit of downloadable resources designed to support understanding and delivery of ABCD. The toolkit includes materials to describe ABCD and to support presentation of the approach, Asset Mapping tools and tools to support facilitation.
Nurture Development in the UK also provide training and resources about ABCD as well as access to consultancy support and research.
Citizens As Designers
The Citizens as Designers open-source resource was first developed by Sarah Macbeth and Anna Locke of Transition Town Hastings for the Care and Citizenship project. They have created a generic version using illustrations commissioned by the Making It Happen project and adapted from the Humaaans library.
The resource is for anyone with an interest in getting to know more about their local surroundings and developing ideas to make changes that help their community to flourish. You are encouraged to widely distribute and make use of the resource and the accompanying illustrations which are free for you to use.
